1 Cut a construction paper circle (in a color such as yellow, black, or orange) and glue to the center of your plate.2 Trace the owl or raccoon eye-mask pattern onto construction paper and glue to the plate. Cut out the eye holes.3 Trace additional features from the Reproducible onto construction paper. According to a recent National Retail Federation survey, consumers plan to spend roughly $44 per household this year on Halloween candy, costumes and decorations. Last year, respondents said they would spend $45. The Halloween season is projected to bring retailers roughly $6.9 billion in sales."Economic ghosts and goblins do not seem to deter consumers from Halloween spending," said National Retail Federation president and chief executive officer Tracy Mullin. "Adults'' fascination with Halloween has helped transform the holiday into a much-needed sales boost for many retailers."

3. With wire cutters, cut a 2-foot length of wire and a 1-foot piece.4. Thread black beads on the longer wire. Gently bend it to form a rounded handle. Position over globe leaving 2 inches of wire below neck of the globe on each side. Secure with the rubber band.5. Wrap the shorter wire tightly around the neck of the globe and, with pliers, twist firmly. Clip off excess wire. Cut off the rubber band and discard.6. Bend the descending 2 inches of the handle up over the securing wire and lightly twist around the handle. Cover the twist with the black beads, three on each side.
